Bo-Hao Chen received the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2014. He was a Full Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Yuan Ze University, Taoyuan, Taiwan. His research interests are in computer vision, closely integrated with deep learning, autonomous vehicles, knowledge representation/reasoning, and human–computer interaction.

Dr. Chen was a recipient for involvement in research with the Department of Cybernetics, Tula State University, Tula, Russia, in 2014. He received the Best Student Paper Award from the IEEE International Symposium on Multimedia in 2013, the Best Paper Award from the ACM International Conference on Big Data and Advanced Wireless Technologies in 2016, the First Paper Award from the IEEE International Conference on Applied System Innovation in 2017, the Young Scholar Research Award from the Yuan Ze University in 2017, the Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award from the IEEE Taipei Section and the Taiwan Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2014, the Gold Medal Award at the Moscow international Salon of inventions and innovation technologies Archimedes in 2018, and the Gold Medal Award, the Bronze Medal Award, and the Silver Medal Award at the Taiwan Innotech Expo Invention Contest in 2019, 2020, and 2021, respectively. He has been serving as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Engineering (IET) since 2021. He has also been the Editorial Board of Mathematics (MDPI) and Foundations (MDPI) since 2020.
